DEAR ALL,
Beware Wet Paint Art School had our 5th Annual Christmas Creative Painting Contest and Art Show held on Dec 17-23, 2010 at CCM Centre. The purpose of the event is to encourage students to create their own unique picture to showcase to the public. They can express their happiness, good memories and imaginative thinking in this popular time of the year. Young kids like the festive celebration while older kids will cherish and shows more affections & insights for the winter season. For all ages in the past years, there kept surprising us with unlimited creative concepts in their stunning work. It is a very good year-end project that wraps up what they have learnt over the year. The students put in the best effort in creating a better painting than the previous year. Over the years, all their paintings and Christmas cards created from the paintings have become their precious self collection. I am happy that students have been growing with it and we see big improvement from everyone every year!
To increase the motivation and give more recognitions to what the students have created, we did not only transform their work into nice christmas cards to share, we also set up an Annual Art Contest within our school. Our special theme this year is to show the "World of colours in the Christmas Season". The judging requirement is, 30% creativity in concept (how expressive in demonstrating the theme), 30% creativity in artistic composition (artistic point of view in composition, choice of colours and style), 40% technique (the control and handling for the final outcome). A contest is just a recognition to the winners and at the same time, should be a motivation for those who lost to work better next year. The most important is the great improvement within themselves.
Many quality and impressive work this year. Please enjoy our sharing of the nice pics on paintings and the details of the Art Show in the page links below. DON'T MISS the many precious moments and snapshots of the students in the party. * Credit of the nice pics goes to our photographer, Andes Lo.
Best Wishes from
