Our Growth to Another Milestone of Over 15th Years of Art Teaching!

- Welcoming

Thank you everyone for coming to this special moment of celebrating our school 's15th anniversary! On the celebration ceremony, not only a lot of parents came to appreciate their kids' work, also many guests and old students had came to show support. From the picture taken, I am glad to see lot of blissful smiles and admiration from their faces in seeing the artwork. Just one flaw in that day, I feel sorry that the room temperature was out of our control during the event. For that, I will definitely seek for better solution. Hope you would not mind!

- My admiration for BWP

I still remember when I opened this school out of personal interest in art and teaching youth. With my knowledge in graphic design and illustration, I trusted that I could teach art differently by combining art and design in our inspiration. So students can create very innovative art that stands out from other people. I never expect that I will run this school until today. It started with 10 to 60 students only, and now consistently over 150 - 200 students per year. Over the years, we have taught many students from 4 yrs old to university level and some of them even are working mom. They do not only enjoy their time but create great achievements. Many BWP students were winners of significant national and international awards including Global winners in United Nations Painting contest, National winner of Canada Challenge for the 150th anniversary, Google Doodle Ontario Winner, we have designers of our 25 cents money for daily use and even painting that was sent to the space, the Nasa station! Many students are helped to get into art program in high schools such as Cardinal Carter, Unionville, Claude Watson, West Mount… and many senior portfolio students got accepted into art and design majors in all the good art colleges and universities. In generations after generations, many portfolio students from BWP already graduated and become successful interior designers, illustrators, fashion designers, architectural designer, graphic designers and animators. Most of our teachers are art or design professionals who are previously our Beware Wet Paint top students. They know the best about the way and steps how we inspire our fellow students. If you meet your teachers at school next time, you may call them teacher or your "senior bro" or "alumni sister"!

1. -About this 15th Anniversary Art Show - Exceed the Boundary
   

To align with our school's liberal and creative approach of thinking out of the box, we have this special art show theme - Exceed the Boundaries as a celebrating event to mark our school's milestone of 15th anniversary! In this theme, students can express freely any unique visual images inside any physical or surreal space and perspective. It can be just visually interesting or showing impact; or may be meaningful that talks about exceeding unwanted boundaries on earth by LOVE, PEACE, FRIENDSHIP between human or between animals. I think this is one of my favourite BWP Art Show because all age groups convey very creative ideas and lots of details in the drawing. I hope all students will really spend sometime to look closer in the unique concept of each painting.

To encourage students, we have awarded some outstanding pieces as top winners and distinctions. A lot of art pieces that didn't get the title of an award winner are still very impressive in their age level. I sincerely thank you all for your effort in creating such unique art piece. Also all BWP team and supporting parents. The art show won't be successful without your participation! Enjoy the art work and wish you all the best!

十五週年成長感言 ~ 校長 Helena

歡迎

感謝各位家長和學生們熱烈支持本校跨越十五週年慶典，當日有很多到場欣賞子女作品的家長，和支持本校的新舊嘉賓好友蒞臨。從相集中看到很多歡欣笑容或專注欣賞畫作的臉孔，非常感謝及欣惠！遺抱歉大會場地温度控制上仍有美中不足之處，希望在將來繼續改善，望大家見諒！

對本校成長的肯定

記起當初成立本校時，只為個人興趣，但我深信以自己設計及插畫的知識，融合藝術及設計去教學，可令學生擴闊創作的眼光及更能挑戰尋找獨特的藝術風格！由無心插柳的開始，學校快速增長，一年內由二十人到幾十人，到現在平均每年本校都有150-200學生, 由四歳到大學程度，甚至工作中的父母也有！我看到智新的學生們不單止享受這創作環境，多年來更成就了很多驕人成績，令我為她們非常驕傲! 當中包括國內外的大型獎項，如加拿大國慶日全國藝術挑戰賽連續兩屆總冠軍、聯合國青少年繪畫比賽北美總冠軍及全球第三四五名、雅谷安省區優勝設計、我們有每天被全國使用的國慶150週年流通25分優勝硬幣設計、更有被美國太空總署送上太空的畫作！歷年來由本校培訓成功入讀初中Unionville, Cardinal Carter, West Mount, Claude Watson 美術課程及考取各大學藝術及設計大學專科的學生多不勝數，很多已畢業成為出色的在職室內或建築設計師、插畫師、產品、服裝、平面設計師、動畫師...等等，更有很多同時在智新作品擔任老師，繼續教導”後輩的校友”建立好基礎，迎接將來的成功。

十五週年畫展 - 無限空間

為突出本校一向帶領學生自由創作的宗旨，我們在十五週年慶典舉辦了名為「無限空間」的創作畫展，學生可隨意天馬行空，展開自己喜歡的新奇事物，及「愛融化距離、創意跨界限」的空間，每個組別都非常創新及有意義，整體效果是我近年來其中一個覺得構圖及創意最獨特的學生畫展！所以希望大家不要只留意觀賞自己子女或認識的作品，請也花多些時間欣賞以下展現其他年紀組别的作品，因為每幅都是學生努力表現技巧及自己獨有思考的創作品！

為提升學生的原動力，我們對表現突出的作品頒發了不同大小奬項以作鼓勵！沒有得獎的作品仍非常精彩，值得稱讚！最後感謝各位老師及家長的支持，同學們的投入及努力，沒有各位的參與，畫展絕對不會這様完滿成功的！謝謝各位！請欣賞以下創作！
